because like when i leave it alone, the computer light goes out but i know its on cuz like i can hear it. i tried moving everything, touching everytihng. so wat do i do? im confused.

i tried pushing that button, nothing happens, so i end up like holding on to it until like it dies down. and opening it like a minute later. i think its gonna kill my pc.

You want to change your power settings. I don't have Vista, only XP but it may be the same. Anyway, open up your control panel and click on Power Options. You might want to click on Classic View first for the Control Panel. Once you have the Power Options open, change the turn off Monitor and turn off hard disks to NEVER from 20 minutes which is the default setting. You can change the system standby option to a couple of hours or you can change that to NEVER also depending upon your computer usage. This should hopefully solve your problem. I believe its freezing up (Its on but you cant get it to move and what not)

Not sure how to fix this as of yet (still studying about that kind of thing) but i know what can cause freezing up and thats bad applications viruses and corrupt files (stuff like that) or if you have overclocked your cpu you could have damaged it.

Just press the enter key 5 to 10 time and also strat moving your mouse......................... after that the computer display on.

And you can do work again from where you left your work.

It's going into sleep or standby.
Push the power button to wake it up.
