Oh...a trip down memory lane! I have fond memories of my first place, but I don't particularly miss it. My first place was a little shack, but it was mine, all mine. The bathroom was so small, that I couldn't turn in it! When I look back, I wonder how I could have ever lived in such a place like that, but I had little money....and I remember being totally happy!

My first apartment was in a very old building in Amarillo, Texas. The owner had remodeled all of the apartments and they were really nice. It was 1971, I was 17 years old, had just graduated from high school and was going to a local business college (I studied keypunch -- talk about the dark ages). My rent was $75.00/month (utilities included).

Nice memories, but I don't miss it. Life goes on.

Funny you mention that. I was just thinking about it today. My first apartment was roomy, and all utilities were included with my rent. Great memories. YES, I miss that place! Although, I would never go back!

Mine was 300 ft off the shore of Lake Huron. Had the best sunsets ever. Don't miss the lake effect snow, though.
