God loves everyone, all sinners, but he hates sin.
The Bible says to repent from yor sins. Yes I know what you mean when you say that it's just like any sin, however, like any sin you can't accept it but you must ask God to help you to refrain from committing the sin over and over again. If you murder someone, you can't just accept that it's who you are and keep doing it. You have to change.
Like any sin, some people are born more prone to committing than others because the Fall has caused so many negative consequences. For example, a person may be born who is less empathetic and sees that murder is the answer to problems they face. Just because they are born this way doesn't mean that it's a sin that they and everyone around them should accept. They should do something to change themself. I'm not equating you to a murderer, but you yourself has said that homosexuality is just like any other sin.
The fact that people are born this way and that is not God's fault, it's a consequence of the Fall and of sin which affects everyone so you can't use the excuse that that's who you were born to be just like you can't use an excuse for being born a murderer, rapist, pathological liar etc.

Don't EVER let anyone tell you that you're not loved by God because you're gay! This is the same as telling a child that if they keep eating they'll get fat! This kind of thing really p.sses me off! How dare anyone use your faith against you! How the hell do they know what God is thinking? You're Gay, great! Be proud of you and stuff those idiot bigots! More strength to you.
Let's look at it from this angle too! I'm not really into religion (anymore), I believe that the Bible was written by "man" and no matter what people say, a Spiritual Being, couldn't control what "man" writes here on Earth. This is akin to believing in ghosts! If what I'm saying is true, then "man" will be anti anything that they fear! By this I mean that, until recent times, we were afraid of and aggressive to, Gay people. Doesn't it make sense that when the Bible was written, they had many more fears and phobias than now? Would it also make sense that, like with the witches of the 1500's, that it would be written, that it is "criminal" or a "sin" (same thing in religion) to be different?
As a society (western world), we have progressed and developed, in every area, other than Religion! With Religion, we still hold close, the fears and phobias that have since been, mostly, accepted in general society.
No, I'm not Gay, but I have friends who are. They have an amazing sense of Self, that I'm really envious of. They're so at peace with themselves and are fabulous people to be around for my own sense of Self.
You have nothing to be worried about. Just be a good person, show respect and do the best you can, to be the best you, that you can! This is really what Religion is, at a grass roots level. "Do to one another, as you'd want them to do to you!" (take that anyway you like! no pun intended! :) )

Unfortunately, this is were Free Will becomes both a blessing and a curse. In your situation, your choice to believe in God and know that sin will keep you from him. How is being Gay different that any other sin, in short, it's not. Sin is sin in the eye of God. It is sin that prevents us from having a relationship with him. If you want a even better answer? Being Gay is not the problem. God does not have an issue with whether or not you have a desire for men or when but, rather, if you act upon it. Many individuals in the Bible were thought to have Gay impulse but denied them so that they may walk with God. I do not envy you and your situation. This is probably a difficult time for you and it is probable putting some serious strain on your relationship with God. Keep your faith, read his word, pray often and He will always lead you down the right path. Good luck and God Bless.

Jason...... being gay means that you are gay. It's that simple. Would God stop loving you because you are short? Tall? Black? White? Gay or Straight...
God is more interested in how you treat other people and how you embrace life.
I can't believe the answers these bible thumpers gave you!! My God is a loving God....and he is the only judge you or I have to worry about. Judging others is the greater sin!
He is a just God and he would never judge you for something that you have no control over. Silly guy! :)
QUICK....SOMEONE GIVE ME A SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS BEING GAY IS A SIN

First of all, God loves you very much. Don't ever think that you are ever hated by him. It is just that In the bible it says it is a sin for a man to lay with another man as with a woman and a woman to lay with another woman as with a man. He doesn't like any sin. He hates sin not the person. I just believe that not every feeling is of God.

Only certain christian sects believe being gay is a sin. Many others don't (UCC, UU, etc. etc. etc.). You don't have to compromise your faith in this case, you just have to come to this realization:
You're gay.
There's nothing you could do about that.
If that's the case, and you believe in God, why would he purposely condemn you without even giving you free choice? Dozens of denominations have come to that realization. I suggest you join one of them. The UCC would probably be a good fit if there's one near you, but there's plenty of other great examples too. Just try google to find ones that are close.

I'm a Catholic christened at birth and Ive asked the same question. They say its a sin documented in the bible but i guess what you have to remember is that the bible was written by men. I believe god and my religion but i also believe in science and that our creator isnt going to dam someone because of there sexual preference.
God is supposed to be forgiving and tolerant to all races. I believe its not a sin to god but men couldn't accept it years ago and so it became a sin.
I'm on birth control and that's a big sin for Catholics. I guess I cant see god damming us for being us.

You did not choose to be gay but were born homosexual, if you believe in a god then your god must have created you that way. If you were created gay you are not sinning by loving someone of the same sex or by having sex with them. I really don't think that with six billion people on this planet to look after and billions of billions of other planets in the universe, many of which might have billions of sapient life forms, that your god is going to be particularly worried about your sex life. He does have a few other things on his mind.
You were born gay, he made you that way, enjoy it.

No it doesn't mean God wont like you-just some narrow minded people may not like you in the name of God-so as to justify not liking you. God isn't here living your life for you-you are the only one that can live your life-not the community you live in,not God-just you-you live your life and you live it in a way that makes you happy-life is to short to deny yourself happiness while on this earth,if you try to live your life how others believe you should live it,or believing God is going to hate you-is not much fun. Please be happy in your life.

Being gay is not a sin. But engaging in the same sex relationship is. Remember, God made Eve for Adam. Not another adam for adam.

I think being who you are and forgiving the people who hold it against you would make God happiest. God made you just the way you are for a reason, and pretending to know what that reason is, or that it doesn't exist, is far too arrogant. Just be yourself. God is happy that you love him, and he loves you. And whoever tells you that God hates gay people worships a God I don't want to know.
