That is the society we live in. The government is not there to support you and your family because of a crime. They have plenty of assistance programs, housing, welfare, ect. There are also plenty of private groups out there that offer assistance and they usually receive government grants to fund them.
Sorry for you situation. But spend less time whining about it and more time getting help and a good paying job and you will be alright.

I wasn't really aware of that, and I am sad to hear that.
I suppose it's because they are receiving what they were based on their wife or husbands' place and part in the Military. When that changes, so does the current status.
It goes to show that no one is perfect and no one can be trusted, even if one is committed to being a Military person of honor.
I would gather those families would then be eligible for Welfare and County assistance from that point forward.
Sometimes I am glad I am single and alone. Marriage and family sure has its own set of problems.

Perhaps they really can't afford to do anything else?
Perhaps its not a case of wanting to treat them that way, but rather, they're just in a position, where they really cannot do anything else, as much as they would like to do.
Sometimes.....unfortunately, these things just go with the territory....I hav no other source, except what i would presume would be the consequence of fighting any war, where millions and billions of money is spent.?

It wasn't the government who abused the victims. If you don't like the government's compensation to families of jailed military, you can bring it to the attention of your congressman, and perhaps they can liberalize the rules.

If a person is fired from the Military they no longer get paid.
This is not different from any other job nor should it be

But, no good deed goes unpunished!
So, you take the court order to Accounting & Finance for enforcement.
