If I am traveling long distance, yes. Normally, I just do a walkthru around my car to make sure nothing is out of place (flat tire, damage, etc).

If you are asking about checking out the car's systems if preparing for a long trip? Yes Usually the service station is aware that we will be traveling and all systems are scanned. Case in point: a right front tire had worn tread and upon inspection found an inside rupture and bubble. This could have burst at any time even when doing 70 on interstate.

As long as there are no scary flashing lights blinking at me from my dash, I'm good to go. Although I probably should look at my tires...one of them has kind of a slow leak.

I never check it. People driving next to me will flag me down and tell me my tire looks low.

No, but I have my friends that do that for me. I don't know much about cars, except for driving them.
