If he messed with my child he wouldn't have the pleasure of going to prison. I would have killed the bastard before then!

Sometimes the judge is so incensed at the particular crime, they make sure the person will never, ever qualify for any type of early release. Some States have a sentence of life imprisonment without parole. Those people will never leave, unless the get a pardon. Other states have 'life imprisonment', but 'life' can be a slippery definition. Sometimes it can be less then 25 years, and if the criminal is young, they will get out. Other times the judge simply wants to get the reputation that they are tough on crime.

It depends. Was messing with your child the reason why he was sentenced to jail? If so, he must have done something really horrible. Then I would say no way. If the jail sentence has nothing to do with the child and you really want to get back together with him, I would make some very solid ground rules about how he is to treat your child. And one slip from him, he's out the door. You need to be firm. This is your child.

Why are you even asking this? Are you that insecure that you are willing to put your child's SAFETY for you to get treated right? Come on, you must be a sorry-a** mother, that bastard would be so dead and I would make sure I choose the next man in OUR life better.
Let me tell you, when you have a child, it ain't about you nomore, it's a package deal, you are not individual items, girl, put that through your head. You gotta change your ways and build up that self-esteem, my goodness, you are the statistics that said broken families are 50% more likely to get the children hurt physically and sexually by the mother's current partner, sometimes even killing the child. Yeap, you just proof them right.
Grow up, the child is the one that needs you now, I was a single mom for four years and it was hard and I was very poor, but had my pride and my child. I CHOOSE the man in our lives by seeing how he treated my kid, not me. And MY SON asked HIM if it was alright for him to call him dad. That meant the world to this man and now, that bond can't be broken. he is talking to attorneys so that my son can carry his last name. Think of what you want, just to be with loosers for the rest of your life or to actually have a family and a good man by both y'alls side.

Your child should be the most important thing in your life. I would never let some man treat your child like crap even if he treats you nice.He needs to have a lot of respect for you and your child. Another thing what kind of role model is that for your child that you are dating someone that is serving time in prison for god knows what. Please let this guy go,you can do better.

Well you didn't make yourself clear on what happened to the child, He messed with it, do you mean mentally or he had sex with it ? if he is going to prison for a long time then yeah I'd divorce him, what good is a useless jail bird anyway,

Why in the world would I want to be with a man that mistreated my child? Oh goodness NO! I protect my kids no matter who gets in the way. By accepting someone like that, I would be putting my kids in danger. What kind of mother would I be?

H NO! If he messed with my kid he would be six feet under and I would be in prison. Divorce at that point would just be silly.

EWWW........no question. If it had been my kid they never would have found his body. And you want him back when he gets out? The up side is pedophiles in jail are lower than scum........I can go to bed happy knowing his life will be absolutely miserable once the other inmates find out.
