How tall is TOO tall??

Question

I'm really self-conscious about my height. I'm 13 and already 5"4 or 5"5. People say that i'm wayyy too tall for my age =[. Everyone in my family is around my height, so i don't think i'll grow that much taller.

The guys i know prefer girls that are shorter than themselves.....so I feel really bad about being so tall!! I don't want to be a giant when i'm an adult! What's the right height for an adult woman??

I'll bet you a dollar that the people who are telling you you are "too tall for your age" are short people, and likely just jealous. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If you are not banging your head on the ceiling fan, then you're absolutely fine. What is more, I just answered a question of a 5'3" girl who wanted to know how to get taller!! Most people WANT to be tall. My wife is 5'7", and is perfectly normal. Supermodels are often 6 foot! At 13, you'll likely grow a little bit more, and guess what? Be glad! It is proof of your health, nutrition, genetics, and good fortune. A lot of girls will be jealous of you... but if you're a good person and treat everyone the same, it won't make a lick of difference in your life. You have absolutely NOTHING to be self-conscious about. Anyone who says otherwise is either jealous or vindictive.

The average height of a woman is 5"5 - 5"8 and 130-140lbs. Generally, this is the most desireable height for a woman. How tall you grow to is determined by your genetics, so look at the women in your family on both sides. The average height of your family members is generally what determines your height. Girls grow much faster than boys, so for the next two years you might be taller than most boys in your class. However, as your growth plates start settling in, you'll stop growing, and all the boys will suppress you by many inches. At 13 I was 5"3, and today I'm 5"5 if I'm lucky. Haven't grown in 5 years, and I don't expect to any time soon. Don't worry, you'll most likely grow another 2 inches and then stop all together. However, don't single out your height just yet. Being tall is benefical nowadays. You could be a model if you continued to grow to about 5"11, then it wouldn't matter what height you were! Or you could have very long legs, something alot of us average height women would die for!

What the heck?
That's not too tall for 13 years old
Maybe others think you are tall just because they are so short.
Don't feel bad about it, that is something to be confident about, feel good about it because I can gaurantee there are millions of people wishing they were taller.
And besides, if you don't think you will grow much more you will actually be alot shorter in the long run than most people. At this point, boys are shorter than you but after this summer you will go back to school and all of the boys will be atleast 6 inches taller than they were before.

Well, you are approximately part-a-foot taller than traditional, that's lovely tall. I'm no longer definite what you imply via "too tall"? Women love tall guys, and in a girl's eyes, the taller the bigger, so you are in no way too tall to get the females. However, being too tall can reason wellbeing disorders, however I believe that so long as you are no longer over 7'zero, you must be first-class. If you joined the NBA, you would not be anyplace almost being the tallest participant.

There is no right height for an adult woman. I'm 5"6 or so and 14. It doesn't bother me. In fact I like being tall. If the guys don't want me just because of that. Then really I could care less for them. There are plenty of girls who are short and probably want to be tall and vice versa. =) Be happy with who you are and care less about what other ppl think of you. (well the bad stuff) =)

sweetie. as a junior in high school i stand at 5"9 and thats after from a summer in 9th grade i went from 4'9 to that. a ten inch summer. and all my friends that were so much taller than me in middle school are short compared to me now!! And let me tell you by the time you reach high school, you will be the perfect height for guys. and stand tall!! WEAR HEELS!!and enjoy your height, because i sure do! :] you are the right height for an adult woman, its just that everyone has yet to catch up, but tall or short life's good, it doesn't matter that much in the long run.

hunny there is no "too" tall, "too" short!! when i was 13 i think i was about the same height! being tall is a wonderful thing. i LOVE being tall. some guys will prefer the shorter girls. but some will prefer the taller ones. some wont even CARE about height and will want you for your personality!!! when you're in school it might seem like a big deal but once you're a woman, you'll realize being tall is beautiful. just love yourself how you are, i'm sure you're just fine how you are! :]

There is no right height. You should be happy to be who you are. Everyone is different and the fact that you are tall is cool. Also, your future love will also be as tall or most likely even taller than you, unless you prefer shorter men. There's always someone taller, so don't worry you'll be okay.

5'11 is the max. Any girl under six foot is fine. But it all depends on the guy because I am 6'2 and I am happy with any girl shorter then men. All I have to say for some guys when a girl is taller then them it bugs them. Personally I like tall girls as long as they are shorter then me so I would say go after guys that are tall.

when I was 13 I was 5'4. People thought I was short and some people thought I was tall just because there short. So its the right height actually!

I am 15 and I am 5'7 now... I like being tall cuz I get to beat of the scrawny guys if they make fun of meh!
