I'm planning on getting an MBA (but who knows where my career will lead), for my undergrad, which would be better? After some thought I was thinkin' econ to have a broader range of knowledge, and I also want to get a job in the business world. Thanks!

generally schools/potential employers like to see that students have broader interests, so i would say go with econ. business schools like to see that students can bring a variety of outside knowledge to the table, and employers also like to see well-rounded candidates. also, as you're planning on business school anyway, majoring in business admin almost seems redundant; obviously feel free to minor in business admin/take some courses within that major, but i think econ will suit you more. econ also shows that you can think analytically, and focus on details as well as see the big picture. hope that helps!

You can get into an MBA program with any major. WHile many students at the top schools do have an undergraduate degree in business or economics, most do not.

My personal opinion is that a degree in mathematics is one of the better degrees to have.

Your work experience between college and the MBA program is more important (the top schools want you to have three to five years of work experience).
