when asking if we're in hell, do you mean we are all dead? what if we are all in the judgement phase...waiting to hear our own personal verdicts...where each one of us will very soon, learn where we will be spending eternity?

there's a song I like, here are some of its lyrics:
"the search for perfection is all very well,
but to look here for heaven, is to love here in hell"-sting

There are a lot of people who think that might be true. There are so many people on this earth that live such a hard life, I think those of us who are more fortunate need to think about what Hell would be to those people. I am just haunted by the interview the last time Bangladesh had a bad storm and these people were flying over the devastation. The interviewer asked what would be done to rescue all the people you could see floating in the water and the man said nothing. He said there were too many people as it was and there weren't enough resources. In other words, there were just too many people there and life was worth nothing. It was a relief to the government to get rid of that many people that quickly. And as I sit here and type on my keyboard the exact same thing is happening this very minute. And that's just one. . .still want to contemplate if life on earth is hell or not?

"Hell" is an atemporal condition, in which the errors, injustices, and suchlike of the individual are confronted by the Light as focused fiery intensity.

Such negative conditions as experienced in "hell" continue only so long as the soul continues with them. When the individual understands the difference between Good and energy-veiling, e-veiling, eviling, the individual moves from "hellish" to "purgatorial." Some authors who know this well: "Testimony of Light," Helen Greaves, "The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis, "Climb the Highest Mountain" and "The Path of Christ or Antichrist," Mark Prophet, and "Men in White Apparel." Ann Ree Colton.

Insofar as an individual living on earth is experiencing "hell on earth," that more relates to the pain and suffering, which may be unjustly afflicting. Those conditions are "hellish," but the proper understanding of "Hell" is as given Above ;)

cordially,

j.

if this is hell than the next will be heaven - so why worry??
hell & heaven is 2-sides of coin which always remain together. our actions decides hell or heaven.

Its not. I dont know why people think that hell is much worse. You dont even know what hell feels like. You may have problems right now but its not worse then hell. You must not beleive in the bible at all if you think this is hell.

Whatever is, is. No matter it is hell or heaven. Hell or heaven, both are in your mind, nowhere else.
