I heard of a former american vietnam POW that was tied up, a hood put over his head and left in a room full of poisonous snakes.

I heard of another tied that had his legs and hand tied, a hood placed over his head and taken out in the middle of a river by boat and then dumped in.

In each case, the horrible vietcong did not kil the prisoner, but they sure wanted to scare death to death to try to get information out of them.

Were these war crimes?

yes they were, and that isnt even the worst of what occured. But as usual, the united states follows the rules while those who we fight operate by none. Same thing is happening in the middle east. Beheaddings, mutilation of captured soldiers. yet all I hear about on tv is how the americans are "acting like terrorists". If we were there would be a lot fewer of them.

It's completely out of the U.S.'s hands since the prisoner was in Vietam, and even if that person was in the U.S. they can't really do much about it because it's sorta like Saw he never really commits the crime, just put people in a situation where they in a way commit total suicide.

Yes it is.

And, why are you and the responders so outraged by this when your own President has given the thumbs up to torture.

Every heard of waterboarding? Ever heard of Abu Gharaib, the secret prisons overseas where prisoners can be tortured outside U.S. law ---- how about Guantanamo.

Our country used to be the leader in prosecuting war criminals. Now we are war criminals ourselves.

Absolutely!!! When working with vet that have come back from war time who have been assaulted in some way especially if they were taken prisoner torture most likely took place. It could be soft torture which our military uses or full on torture.
