Hi Anarchy69!!!
Just wanted to share something with you...one of my newly awakened psychic friends has told me that they saw my spirit and it's a Dragon. He said that it's purple and very cute. It was interesting that he said this because my name is Dragana (got teased at school heaps -calling me dragon); I have many psychic abilities; my favourite colour is purple; as a child was highly interested in mythology (especially dragons) fantasy and occult, and to top it all off, my physical face is very sharp and angular with very intense eyes (in certain light I do look like a dragon). Now having said all this, did I mentally/metaphysically create the dragon image (my illusion) which my friend picked up on and saw; or do I actually inhabit a dragon soul in my human body?
You see, this is where psychology comes in and I'm interested to try to distinguish between the real and the illusion which we can manifest.
(And can you please check my question in the parapsychology section regarding this topic; Thanks.)

Denie : I just finished watching that ;)
Of course there are non humans (dolphins, elephants, parrots) that are pretty smart and others that are less smart (let's say chickens for now).
I do think what you describe might be possible but I think it would involve gene therapy or something. There was a TV show on for a while where the new "species" had a 1% DNA difference don't recall the name. Also, not sure how big a difference you need to be not human.
OK, no disrespect I am just trying to understand. If we can't detect a human soul how do we detect a soul that is not human within a human? OK I can see how they might have features of other species via interspecies breeding or something. However, in all my religious education (K-6, 9-12, and Catholic University) I learned that Angels do not have souls which is why they became jealous of humans when humans got attention from God. A soul connects mankind with God but the Angels are direct creations (already part of God). This of course would include all fallen angels. So, one couldn't have the soul of an angel?
Do dragons, ware animals, and vampires really exist in the mythical sense or are you speaking of some other to way to understand the existence of these creatures?
Where does one get this information to study?
I realize I had more questions than answers but this is a new idea to me.

I am skeptical of this Otherkin phenomenon, and to me it seems to be similar to being a 'furry' and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. Which is to say a person can feel an affinity and even exhibit traits of their chosen 'Otherkin' but I don't actually think there is a paranormal element here, just a desire or feeling of being different for any number of valid reasons.
That doesn't mean I am saying I -know- because I am an open minded skeptic (A true skeptic) I have my doubts but I am open to the possibility I could be mistaken.

There is a phenomena known to the native Americans and other indigenous tribal cultures where the spirits of dead relatives, demons, angels (good spirits) and animals can guide or posses human form. On the other hand they also believe that animals and creatures can hold human souls, you may say that these cultures are "down to earth" or in touch with nature/the spirit realm.
I think the term Otherkin is used to describe in modern terms what has been going on for a millennium in terms of pagan (earth culture) beliefs.

I believe everything that isn't human is non-human. I believe in such things passionately.
If you believe there are human who share certain characteristics with non-humans then you're correct. If you feel like attributing certain individual human characteristics to a non-human source that's fine too, but it's not really correct or valid. It's just a fanciful (but imaginary) way of looking at the world--not unlike dressing your pet up for Halloween.
If you are looking to exercise this fantasy of yours, check into Second Life. You can be anything you want there.

The probability of what you call otherkin is less than 0.1. If you have several as friends you should write a thesis and share your knowledge with the world. After all, it is lack of applicable knowledge that cause people not to believe.

I can see wanting angels for friends..but I can't begin to understand why you'd want any of the others for friends. Unless..if you're on their side maybe they won't hurt you. But then, you can only choose one side..good or evil. And since evil lies..I don't see how you can trust anything that's evil.
I'm watching "Emily Rose" right now....and I don't see how anyone could be friends with anything like that.
I've never heard of "ware animals". I don't even see how you'd go about "studying" these things.Since they're in the spirit world..I don't see how you can know for sure you're not being deceived. I've had human humans deceive me...so I sure wouldn't trust a spirit. (I've also had spirits deceive me) I don't trust anything anymore.

I have seen and remembered some really bizarre things in my life. I had a junkyard dog act as if she knew me and for some weird reason; I also brought her home because she wanted to come with me so bad. She used to spell out a name of a girl I had known in high school by using a stick. One time she tried using the toilet in the bathroom. Sometimes she would try to talk and some words even sounded familiar or recognizable.
Here's a youtube site with two young cats that seem to be saying: "OK" to each other. Funny.

My dog and cats are non-human. For that matter, the rest of the animal kingdom is non-human as well. And there are still new species being discovered. Beyond that, no, I don't believe in "nonhumans" like the ones you listed.

Under hypnotic regression, many human beings have discovered their souls are from other universes and/or other dimensions. However, none have demonstrated any abilities from their former lives. The only beings you speak of have never been recorded to have inhabited human bodies other than through possession. In the present, only mentally unstable people have claimed to have qualities of the beings you have mentioned, in which case, your life is in serious danger aand you may which to get away from them before they decide they want to study you.
