Does he do nice things though for the community? He should ride around and sit outside the schools in his van, giving the children candy when they get out of school. Kids like that and it's a sign of good will toward others!

No, do not accept his proposal !! Until you have actually met this person face-to-face, do not make such a big decision!! Irregardless of what you MAY know about him, never jump !! It is always wise to get to know a person before there is any major decision to be made .
