Generalization or what......

Many people from many nations speak quickly (not just English) I really don't think it's limited to any ethnic back ground. You should listen to someone from Labrador...fast and with a Newfie accent...ouch!

As to attitude....well that comes from being raised in a very crowded, fast paced society. Most people that I have encountered that come from such cultures (add the have have not divisions) tend to feel they need to push in order to obtain.

Some ladies from India, whom you have observed, as speaking fast were under a wrong impression that you do have the capability to grasp her utterance.Had you indicated that you are unable to catch what she is saying, she would have slowed down for certain. She might have spoken faster to save your valuable time. Regarding the alleged bad attitude, it is your lone observation and many will not go along with you. They are too sweet, mellow and understanding unless you have insulted them somehow.

It's a shame when we are so limited in our experiences that we don't understand the idea of CULTURE DIFFERENCES.

What you perceive as a bad attitude is not in fact a bad attitude. Unfortunately, you are judging people by your societal standards and your societal standards are not universal. There is life outside of whatever country you live in (i.e. America).

Because they cant identify with you? And they want to get over with interaction as quickly as possible. Maybe the person in question is generally shy? Sorry!
