Prostate exams usually start in the 40's unless there is a strong family history. Then they should be done from the mid 30's.

I had my first at 30 as there is a family history of prostate cancer. Most start at 40.

Around 40-50 and females do not get prostate exams. Make sure you don't feel both of the doctor's hands on your hips, if you do insist on him at least buying dinner.
