I remember being up late at night when I was 8 years old and watching Pet Semetary by myself. I was extremely frightened by Zelda, the deformed sister.

I got locked in a closet once for what seemed like hours, but was probably only a few minutes. Now I'm claustrophobic. I also fell through the kitchen floor when my dad was replacing the subflooring and all that was down was the insulation. I landed in the dirt cellar, my head about 1' from a giant rock that the people who built the house couldn't get out because it was so big, so they left it there. I was so scared that I peed my pants an the way down, though it was only about 10 feet. Now, I'm acrophobic, also!

When I was little, I used to be convinced that there was something evil in the darkness in my room and when I'd flip the light off to go to bed, I would literally LEAP into my bed from across the room so that I wouldn't have to be standing there in the darkness any longer than I absolutely HAD to. Sometimes I was so scared I would almost scream in mid-air on the way over because I could just picture something reaching for me.

oh yeah! I had a nightmare when i was 6 or 7 years old, that some THING with a black hood was chasing me, and i got stuck in a ditch and i looked up and begged my best friend to gimme a hand so i could get outta the hole. but she just stared at me blankly. then the hooded thing swooped down over me, and i felt hot air on my neck.
i woke up sweating and breathing really hard because it scared the shizzy outta me!! I still remember that nightmare to this day, and i'm 31 years old.

I was about 5 years old when I wandered off while my family and I were touring Old Fort Niagara. They all feared that I had fallen into Lake Ontario. After I couldn't find my family, I found my way back to my Grandfather's car outside of the fort. I think they were more frightened than me.

I was frightened as a child during a Christmas Eve candlelight service. I caught my hair on fire, and the man behind me slammed his hymn book down to put out the flames. I'm still frightened of fire!

I use to have reoccuring dreams about Kennedy dying. I wasn't even around then, but I watched a documentary about it with my parents and was really frightened by it for a while.

I remember being in my bedroom as a toddler. It was thundering outside and I ran to my door to get out to find my mom and dad. They were holding the door shut so I couldn't get out (forcing to go to my own bed). I could see their shadows under the door and screamed for them. They never came to me.
