Well ... being that I teach 5th grade ... I sure hope so! ;-)
However, that show is not really an accurate representation of what 5th graders across America learn. Each state has different standards and they tend to ask the toughest questions which not even most 5th graders will remember a year from now. I can tell you that our 5th grade GATE class (the "smartest" kids in the district) tried to play that game ... and failed miserably! lol
So perhaps it should be titled "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader Who Performs WAY Above Grade Level and Has The Memory of an Elephant!"

I have played that game and the things I have forgotten after all this time. Some of the questions I get and some I don't.

i hate that show. it's an unrealisitic representation.
they're all learning that crap in school and it's fresh in their minds. and it's not like they have much else in their heads.
