With the way both teams are playing this year, it is very tough to say. I have studied the stats of both teams. This game, like last year can go down to the last play. These two schools are rivals on a par with Ohio St. and Michigan, Army and Navy, USC and Norte Dame, just to name a few. Last year, BYU finally ended a five year slump against Utah. They also ended the year with a perfect record in the MWC and an 11-2 record overall. Then they decisively beat California in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Both teams started out slow, Utah won one game in their first four, their lone coming against UCLA who was ranked 13th at the time. Some how, they have not lost since getting blanked by UNLV.
BYU lost two of their first three games. After the close loss to Tulsa, they have yet to taste defeat.
Both teams tout strong defenses with the edge going to BYU. Both have a strong offense where one team excels at one aspect of the ball over the other. Utah holds an edge in the rushing department, where as BYU as usual has the edge in passing. It is a matter of who wants it more. The one tangible is that they are playing in Provo, home of the Cougars of BYU. Last year, I would have probably picked Utah in an upset win if it were not for the last second heroics of John Beck. Having home field advantage is really no advantage at all.
I still do see BYU remaining undefeated after this game. They have more weapons on offense than Utah.
P.S.: this is the first time in many years that the BYU/Utah game will not end the season for both. BYU still has their game against San Diego St. following the postponement due to the Southern California wild fires.

Hmmmmm . . . . i've got been a BYU fan my finished life, yet i visit the U . . . i don't comprehend whos' greater probable to kill me, my classmates or relatives! i'm hoping BYU wins, yet the two way I won't stay long adequate to have fun. ;)
