It has been that way for years. That has absolutely nothing to do with socialized medicine. 15 years ago my brother-in-law waited 6 hours to be treated for two crushed heels. Remember you don't have an appointment in the emergency room. They take the most serious cases first. Sometimes you have to wait for a specialist to come in. Some people die on the floor waiting to be helped.

We need more medical facilities and personnel. Actually, if everyone had insurance, this would ease this situation because people would then only use the emergency room for emergencies instead of something that really isn't an emergency because of Medicaid or lack of insurance.

No but, 3 hours is just about average waiting time in an emergency room visit. Bedside manner is waning due to doctors being overworked so badly. The big bill is all yours to pay though.

No, they were practicing triage medicine. If you were seen in 3 hours they either were not busy or you were fairly sick. Around here waits of 10 or 12 hours are not unheard of on a Friday night or Saturday.

The sheep accept this bad service and think the profit motive works in hospital care. It actually does just not to the benefit of the sick.

No. Socialized medicine is when they tell you it's not cost effective to treat you and send you home.

Join the club! Many emergency rooms take longer than this.

There are not enough nurses for one thing. Some say they are being over worked and they end up leaving after awhile.

Some hospitals hire people from temp agencies (medical).

THATS ANOTHER REASON PEOPLE SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL WHO THEY VOTE FOR.

WE DON'T WANT SOCIALIZED MEDICINE!!!!!

If it was socialized you would have waited longer and paid less. The only difference between socialized medicine and what the illegal aliens get is that they go straight to the front of the line.
