i know they talk they dont just evolve and survive through generations without being able to communicate with one another

Some good experiments have been conducted in this.
Gorillas have been taught to use sign language.
Dolphins have been able to communicate with humans.
Parrots have shown understanding of the words they speak.
They just haven't mastered passing on to generations yet.
This is the unique characteristic limited to human beings.

I saw this thing about chickens that when a fox got near there coop they would raise there heads and make a sound and the other chickens would understand that it meant danger and then when there was food outside the cage they would lower there heads and make a sound and the other chickens came running. So I guess we are kinda understanding some of animals language and body language to know that they know when danger is around and when its time to eat.

boy, you've been watching too many movies. Animals and humans don't talk to eachother. Animals just communicate with eachother.

They communicate nonverbally, and it's not that hard to decipher, as anyone with a dog will attest.
