Here's one for the older members of this club, or those who are good at research.
Richard Tauber, the Austrian Tenor, recorded many songs and sang or performed in many shows and some films where the music and lyrics were composed or written by Franz Lehar.
Did Tauber ever appear in either a stage or film production of The Merry Widow?
If he did, is it available as DVD.
There are numerous CD's where he sings various individual tracks from the show, but I have not yet found him singing the complete operetta.

Thanks JA12. Unfortunately Tauber doesn't appear on any of the recordings you suggest. As it was one of Lehar's most successful works, I'm sure that Tauber must have appeared in the show at some time, and I would have imagined him to have held the lead male role of Danilov. As that may well have been in the 1930's in Austria or Germany, or in the 1940's in England however, its quite possible that it was not recorded or filmed though.
