Can they really be called talented when all they do is string some words together and say it real fast or is there a deeper meaning to the madness? Do you think there are more rappers the bands out there now because there are no use for people who can actually play instruments? What are your views on the cultural phenomenon?

Lala Jay, I pay attention to pretty much all types of rock and steel. But I nonetheless like a few rap. The new rap like lil wayne and all that **** is simply terrible and real calls for without doubt no skillability. But older rrap like Notorious BIG and 2pac together with Eminem and different artists like which might be very well. They are not making up false occasions like every new rappers akin to lil wayne and souljaboy( I nonetheless dont even no how the f*@% he even bought popular however besides).

Rap is an entire genre of music. There is some good, and there is some bad.
However, I agree that a whole lot of crappy, untalented people have come out in the past few years. Rap is so commercialized, that anyone who gets noticed can be a rapper. ANYONE.
Try listening to Mos Def, OutKast, Talib Kweli. They have talent, and lyrical content worth listening to.

Not ALL rap is crap, but people like 50 make me wonder, because he's trying to be something he's not, and is dissing everyone who might overshadow his career.
He said he was going to be like 2pac and not rap about b.tches, drugs, and money, but what does he rap about?
Most of the bands out there are just as crappy. Their all emo and indie, there's no good music out there. Even the music you listened to for years is turning to sh.t.
I totally agree with you. And with the guy who said R&B is different, it totally is.

i love rap when it was all about NWA and old school Bone Thugz and LLcoolJ back in the day, tupac, biggie.... but not this waistless sh!t thats on the radio...........Rap used to be good but now its crap because of people like soulja boy, ja rule, 50 cent, and so many worthless artist that is make rap crap.
artist like Talib, MosDef, Common are ture Rhymth and Poetry..... not snoop, or bow wow that make a Sh!t load of crap.

I'm not a huge, gangster rap fan.
I can't handle it, it sounds terrible!
Now, I know a guy who I went to a dance
with, my friend, and he can rap, but like
a soul, pop, rap thing.
He's great... nothing dirty about it,
it's almost like pure poetry, it's great.

Personally, I think it's crap. They all seem to copy each other, and the lyrics are absolutely vile and disgusting.
