racism is where you hate someone for their race, colour of skin and/or religion discrimination is when you hate or put someone down for say......their sex for example (gender) or say they are disabled and you look at them and treat them differently for that or your discriminating against the intelligence of a college drop out as opposed to a college or university student/grad

ps. you can also discriminate against someone's race as well so racism and discrimination technically can fall under the same category.

Racism is when someone gives someone else unfair treatment due to their ethnicity.

I don't believe discrimination in itself is a bad thing, but most of the time it is used for hurtful purposes. Discrimination is the act of singleing someone (or a group of people) out of a group of people or everyone. This is usually done verbally, but sometimes it is done violently. Racism is a form of discrimination, and I think it is a hurtful kind. But say there's someone at your job who is lowering the moral because of foul language or rude remarks. If you were to talk to him about it, you'd be discriminating him from the rest of the employees, but if you come across in a kind way (and if he takes your advice correctly) it will be a beneficial discrimination for the person and the rest of the employees.

Hope my views make sense and help you out. =)

Racism is discrimination based purely on race. Discrimination can be based on other things too like a persons gender, sexism or pretty much anything else (how they smell, how tall the are, what country they are from...)

is right due to the fact of race is black, white, asian. Most people know what race is so racism is people who hate or treat others different due to there race/skin color.
Discrimination is treating a person unfairly due to maybe what they look like the way they talk or because of what they like.
All people except idiots should know this.

Racism is the judgment of people's behavior and character based on race. It may not have any application to how people are actually treated.

Discrimination is the application of such subjective rationale in practice, like housing, employment, etc. Racism, like sexism, ageism or any other "ism" is a subjective premise for treatment.

Both are about the same, but to put it on the table, some people are racist, against something that they don't know about or don't want to know about, discrimination is against people that are different, such as the slang words nerd, rich girl, etc. woman suffer from discrimination because they have a job, and people wonder how they got it, etc.
