There are NO requirements to post in this section. As is the same for any section on Yahoo Answers.

The "regular" residents of this site are more than happy to share our knowledge with anyone who asks pertinent and thought-provoking questions....or makes us laugh...or gives us a little insight...or opens our eyes to new situations........

Well I kind of feel like Morgan here except that I will be back in 14 years instead of his 5 years as I am only 51.

I do enjoy senior citizens as I have learned a lot from the very kind and nice folks here. Another thing that I really like about this site is the fact that there is wide range of questions that are asked here.

Hi and welcome. I'm 55 and fully accepted here, I hope *w*. We have a great time here and share ideas, recipes, past experiences and a lot of fun. We ask and answer questions here because the folks here for the most part are our peers and know they've gained insight from life. Besides, they're a caring, great group of folk!

This is a category in Yahoo Answers. The user rules & community guidelines are the same for every category. However, if you specify that you would only like answers from 65+ users from NE U.S., you are limiting yourself to a very small group & a larger group will answer you just because they can. In a nutshell, it's difficult to have control over who answers your questions & there really is no way to verify a persons age on this site or any other.
The basic rules apply as stated in the user guidelines.
MOST people are respectful to specific requests, yet others can be quite nasty.
With a bit of experience, you will soon be able to tell who is sincere & who is just pullin' your leg.
I use this site to learn about people & life & get some good web site listings.
I also enjoy sharing what I know & putting in my 2cents on an occasional "silly" question.
The basic taboo is name calling & offensive language. This will usually get you reported.
I wish you well in your quest to receive answers for 65+ users.

Welcome to this category on Yahoo.
I am not yet the age that you are seeking, so I will say good night & thank you for your kind post.

Feel free to start asking and receiving some of the best advice you can find. Right here in seniors we try to help others and not criticize or thumbs down.

The community guidelines makes matters in this respect quite clear, and we (participants) are all supposed to read and confirm, that we have read, and agree with, the guidelines (TOS and Privacy Policy). Only then, do we get an account in Yahoo! Answers.

Nice young people are always welcome on Seniors. We find their questions interesting (most of the time) and we are all here to help each other. That is what life is about. It's lovely to see younger people interested in the older generation.

So dome in, sit town, and I wish I could offer you a cup of tea/coffee, but you are miles away. Welcome!
