Welcome to the world of running. I've always found that additional stretching after running helped to alleviate the soreness. You can always try a hot bath....sit and soak.

Mostly, preserve at it. As quickly as your leg muscle groups are again in form they will not do any harm while you run. I have the identical challenge each time I move many years with out walking plenty and begin coaching once more. But any other matters you'll be able to do: stretch earlier than and once you run to calm down your muscle groups, perform a little calf sporting events seperate out of your walking to construct up force and staying power, and doing a little walking off the treadmill could support form out any kinks for your walking mechanics. If it isn't getting bigger after a two-three weeks of activity and stretching, and you are nonetheless in agonizing suffering, you must see your physician. Good good fortune!

The best way to get rid of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is to use the muscles again. By using the muscles you are able to flush out any toxins by increasing the blood flow to the area, and you should see an improvement almost straight away.

So go for a light jog again and see how you go.

Second day is always the worst, its downhill after that. Just take an advil, stretch, and epsom salt bath helps as well.
