Ok so i'm in this painting class at night at my state college and my teacher is this cool guy. We joke around every class and people always get in debates in this class and we are always on the same side.......I always stay after class cuz I have work to do and we laugh and joke and he seems to enjoy my company and values my opinion on stuff.

Ok I know it sounds weird, I would think it was if I were someone else. But i really get along with him and could see myself hanging out with him. This is a completely non-sexual thing. He is a young at heart guy but he is still like 45 and i'm 21. I don't know how I would bring it up, it seems too weird/innapropriate...he is happily engaged and we talk about his fiance so it's not like i'm try to sleep with him or anything..

Is it just too wrong to ever say anything?

It'll work better after your semester is over. Professors have to abide by ethical codes that don't allow you to consort with students, that is, have any kind of relationship other than professor/student.

My daughter has several older professor friends who she meets at bars on trivia nights, or goes on group trips with. She has a relationship with a guy her age but really values the friendship of the professors and the wonderful advice and comraderie they give her.

If it stays wholesome like what you describe, and non-sexual, it can be a very beneficial relationship, but like I said already, cultivate it after the semester ends.

You need to take a step back. You sound like a junior high student "crushing" on a high school jock. This guy is 'happily engaged' and you say there's nothing sexual? So what is there? You said you stay after class w/ him, you feel like you were someone else, and you want to hang out w/ him? Think about it. What is WRONG to ever say WHAT? Sounds like underlying intentions to me. Find a classmate your own age to hang w/.

I'd be careful in that department you hear all the time of teachers being charged with things even if they show a slight bit of kindness and sometimes other people will snitch and make a big comotion out of it and then he will be suspended from his job.

Keep it safe on a teacher student level. If you do care for him you wouldn't want him to lose his job right.

hes way too old for you and the thought of you and him would be bad. hes engaged and hes ok but remember hes a teach not a friend and keep it that way. dont' say nothing cause you will regret it later. take my advice and stay away from him or saying anything it could cause you grief later. take care.

It is very inappropiate. He is happily engaged. That is really wrong. I mean put your shoes in his fiance's shoes.

You need to grow up a bit
