if you are by yourself ....find some company...the 'Rio' and' mirage' are great for finding company..they say 400$ but usually will settle for 150$...but a truly good pro is worth every bit of 400$...it is a real smorgasbord out there..good luck

Go to Hogs & Heifers Las Vegas.... best time I had while I was down there... if you're prissy and not into dirty bars with chicks gettin wild crazy drunk and dancing on the bars and you can't party with a rowdy crowd then i advise you stay away but if it sounds like your kinda place then check it out. I had a blast both nights I went but whatever you do don't compare it to Coyote Ugly it was way before and is way better, when u first go in go get a drink they have a habit of ridiculing those that just come in for the free show and buy your bartender a shot. Good luck darlin

If it is your first time, just walk the strip and go in all the different places along the strip. Each casino has it's own theme. Take in the Forum Shops at Ceasars. The animatronics show is something to see. The Bellagio Fountains are a must see. If weather permits .. at the TI check out the Sirens show. Go to the top of the Stratosphere, the view is worth the cost.
Just wander around and enjoy. Never a dull moment.

I would say take advantage of a natural attraction in Las Vegas, there is so much besides gambling. Book helicopter, plane, SUV or bus tours for day trips to Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire and Lake Mead. You can also take a bus, plane or helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon (one of the seven wonders of the world).
We're sure you've seen hundreds of photos of the Grand Canyon, but nothing can surpass you're first glimpse of this awesome sight. You can enjoy Las Vegas to Grand Canyon tours by bus, small plane and even by pontoon boat! Grand Canyon helicopter rides are a favorite way to go. Grand Canyon rafting tours, or Grand Canyon west rim sightseeing tours encompass tour of Hualapai Indian Lands.
Another spectacular tour but of a different nature, is a Hoover Dam Tour, or a Las Vegas city tour soaring over the Las Vegas Strip at night - a beautiful experience not to be missed!
Experience a Red Rock Canyon tour with incredible rock formations and Native American petrogylphs. Choose adventure in a Hummer, on a Jet Ski or a Colorado River Rafting trip...and my personal favorite, one of the best day spa packages in Las Vegas, indulge at the famous Canyon Ranch spa and shop and spa at The Venetian. What a way to spend the day!
Or just pick an extravaganza show, if that is what you have in mind one not to be missed is Girls of the Crazy Horse. Find out all you need to know about Las Vegas at http://www.lasvegas-wow.com

The Strip is amazing place with great casinos, shows, and lots of entertainment. Take time to enjoy the architecture. If you enjoy magic and aren't afraid of swear words you can't miss The Amazing Jonathan. His is a unique act with lots of comedy.
If you have access to a rental car go to Red Rock Canyon (about a 15 minute drive from the Strip). This is a state park with great geological features. You can easily walk to see pictoglyphs and petroglyphs. The museum has a good over view of the first peoples who lived there, flora, and fauna.
There are lots of great food choices. Il Fornaio at New York, New York is an excellent place to eat (http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art35044.asp). They offer some of the best food I've eaten outside of Italy.
South of the Strip is the Boulevard Bar & Grille. We went back a few times to eat there (http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art25128.asp). It's a better bargain that the buffets.

You want to go to all the huge hotels/casinos on the strip but DEFINITELY go to Fremont street. That's where you'll find the cheap food and entertainment. You have to go at night so you can see the light show.
