Oh no! If the bison eat an infected gnome, they will come down with gnome-onia! Keep them out of your garden!

You could try keeping a dragon as a pet. But I think they might be inclined to eat tomatoes too. So if you feel your tomatoes are worth the trouble you could build a tall strong fence with barbed wire or electric charge - for whatever defense it might offer against tough-skinned and hairy beasts. Or you could just get a comfortable chair and admire the buffaloes. I believe they're rare. And with climate change they could become even rarer, so, as with most things, it's best to enjoy what you can while you can.

Better watch those garden gnomes.........if those bison show up in your yard after midnight the gnomes will turn them into fertilizer!

old garden gnomes are also very valuable, you bette go squeeze the bison and get it back, then list it on ebay ;)

Keep them in your closet and then when the bisen come into your bedroom shoot them with a rifle and make a nice fur coat.
