it basically makes bush dictator indefinitely in the event of a "catastrophe" (particularly if around election time)

I absolutely do not support it, but what does anyone expect from a man who was not elected but ascended to office on the power of a lawsuit?
Not that elected officials are any better...

No, this is a blatant trampling of the Constitution. And to all those people complaining about us thinking this would keep him for life, it won't happen that way. All he needs is a few months, and an Operation Northwoods style operation, then he can start World War 3. Which was the whole point of this, not becoming dictator for life.

It doesn't say anything like that. It is just an updated plan for emergency continuation of government, like every other president in history has had. There is nothing there to be overly upset about. It is just a list of what responsibilities each executive position would have in the case of a National state of emergency sufficient to disrupt normal governmental operations. Did you ever see any of the Cold War era plans? You can just calm down. I know I'm not going to worry.

There's way too many words in it for you to have read it.
Are you laying awake at night thinking President Bush will be 'dictator indefinitely'?
If you do, (and I'm sure you do) you're just embarrassing yourself like most tinfoil hatted, bed wetting moonbats do.

If you honestly think that Bush COULD be a dictator, then you haven't been paying attention.
And if he ever becomes one, then that's why Americans have guns.
You DO have a gun, don't you?
