They are the same car. The TL is basically an upgraded Accord. Just the Acura cost more with different styling and a longer warranty. Personally, I'd get the Accord. While the TL has a longer warranty and better customer service, the Accord has a better resale value

The completely redesigned 2008 Honda Accord is bigger, more powerful and more fuel efficient than its predecessor and is priced from abut $20,000 to $30,500. The new model, which qualifies as a Partial Zero Emission Vehicle (PZEV), also has a sportier suspension, an upgraded interior and is available with three different engines. The new Accord also offers features previously only offered on Acura models—including the optional voice-activated navigation system with Zagat Survey information for restaurants, hotels and attractions. Although we don’t have results for the 2008 model yet, the 2007 model received 4 ½ and 5 out of 5 Power Circles in our firm’s overall mechanical and design initial quality ratings. However, in terms of appeal, the 2007 model does not perform as well as the 2007 Acura TL—it receives 3 of 5 Power Circles. Still, Accord owners do seem to love their cars, since the most traded car for the new Accord is another Accord.

The higher-end Acura TL midsize luxury sedan, which was last redesigned in 2004, obviously is pricier than the Accord—it has a starting sticker price that is about $3,000 more than the Accord. For 2007, however, the TL has been given a freshened exterior and interior along with an improved navigation system. Accord outperforms the TL in our quality ratings. The 2008 TL sedan with navigation system receives 3 and 3 ½ out of 5 Power Circles in overall mechanical and design quality ratings, but also rates high in terms of appeal and performance—it receives 4 ½ Power Circles. I like the 98 Honda Accord myself, but now a days the 08 looks like a Jaguar vs Acura looking like an acura! And the motor in an Honda can last just as long as a Acura motor can! But the TL is a very nice car.

those were my two options. I went for the accord exl. more bang for your buck. much cheaper maintenance even though its basically all the same parts. put an acura badge on it, and repair/maintenence cost double, at the least.

I think you meant TSX, TL and Accord can't be compared.

I will say the Tl it has more HP and better Handling and more luxury than the Accord and beside the TL doesn't competee with the Accord it compet with car like Lexus GS300 or BMW 5 series.
