And you're walking down the street and you slip on the ice and fall, do you expect people walking by to help you up? What if this person thought it was funny that you fell and was laughing? Would you take that persons help?

If I did, which I don't, I live in a valley in California, never seen snow, and I fell, I wouldn't expect people to help me, but I bet someone would, although I know I and the other person would most likely laugh.

If someone was laughing at me I doubt if I would accept their help. But I have helped people up who have slipped and fell on ice. I don't think it is funny at all. That really hurts, not to mention that they are embarrassed.

I fall even when it isn't snowing and it probably is funny, so I guess I can't blame anyone for laughing. But if I broke something, that would be a different story!

it snows here a little. but in different parts of this state it snows really well. if i slipped on ice and fell, someone would probably help me up. if they were laughing i'd yell "STOP LAUGHING AT ME" and get myself up.

I live where it snows and we help people up without much laughing. About the only ones to laugh are kids, and they don't help anybody.

I love your question. All I can think about is that funny little penguin shuffle walk I do to try and avoid falling on the ice!!!

Yes every once in a while when someone forgets to pay-off the weather people we get some snowy icy mess here in the city.

And where I'm from you slip & fall @ you're own risk. As this one dude was helping me up ... he help himself to my watch ... not to be outdone .... I hug him in thanks & slipped out his wallet.

The watch was a $ 20 fake and he had $ 60 (real) ....so that was a profitable pratfall.

I don't expect anyone to help me, but I would accept someone's assistance graciously if someone offered it. AS for the person who laughed, that wouldn't bother me. Heck, I'd think it was funny too!!!!
