I guess it is every person's individual opinion, but as far as I believe...no. I feel there are so many out there looking for babies to adopt that it seems unfair to be allowing perfectly healthy pregnancies to be terminated because of "inconveinence". I am sure some people will strongly disagree, but I was adopted and I feel it is an option all pregnant women should explore fully before even considering an abortion. I wish abortion was not an option, I wish it was illegal.

If carrying the baby to term endangers the life of the mother, or the baby is dead or severely malformed then I believe definitely. I believe the mother should have a right to put priority on her body & health > especially if she has other children already. If the baby is known to be dead it seems a kind of torture to make the mom know she has to wait to get something dead from out of her body. Isn't it bad enough she lost a child? If the baby is severly malformed I think the mom should have the right to choose. A friend had a baby with a genetic disorder. Had I been her & known I would never see the baby live more than a week, I would have wanted the choice, whether I chose to use it or not is a whole new story, but the option would bring peace & comfort in a horrific situation. I don't think men, government, the churches or anyone else should have a louder voice than the mother facing those situations.

actually in some countries and here in the US is legal to have an abortion, but the issue that causes controversy is when it is better to get one, some states don't allow abortions after the second trimester has been reached. I personally believe that it is our women's personal right to choose whether we want to have the baby or not, after all it is us who is going to raise and provide for this baby, and I've seen a lot of women out there who shouldn't be allowed to have children...and I am sure that if they were given the choice to have an abortion they wouldn't have hesitated but because of money issues they opted to have the child and as a consequence the children are often neglected and abused. It has to be OUR PERSONAL CHOICE to have an abortion, of course we hear a lot of criticism about why they didn't have precautions to not get pregnant but if this people haven't read a lot of the methods of contraception are only 99% sure, and I can tell you for experience that sometimes you can be the 1% who get pregnant even when you are using precaution. So YES, it has to be legal.

Here's my OPINION on this and other's may not agree. I believe if there is absolutely NO other way to take care of the child then yes. If the child is from a rape then yes if the mother wants it. Otherwise, BOTH the mother and father should make the decision what to do with the child. If the woman does NOT know who the father of the baby is she should have to have the child, but the state should keep it if she doesn't want it. If there was still no father found through DNA testing then the child should be put up for adoption by the state. An innocent child is made by God's grace and given to you with his love. Please no e-mails on this because it is simply an OPINION.

I am absolutely against abortion. However, if its not legal, women will still find ways to get them just as they've done all throughout history. And when that happens, the mothers often die as well from infection. So yes I think it should be legal, and even if I didn't, there's no chance of it ever becoming illegal again.
And for the people who keep bringing up the rape and incest points...only 1-2% of all terminated pregnancies are the result of rape or incest.

In my opinion, it should be legal. I'd like to see steps taken to encourage pregnant women to inform the father before getting an abortion, and arguments that abortions should be limited or restricted rather than used as a form of casual birth control have some merit, but there are situations it makes sense.

I believe that its murder, and when you have been trying to get pregnant as long as I have, seeing girls not taking any precaution against getting pregnant then getting pregnant without trying, then killing the baby like it never even happened is more than heartbreaking. There is a purpose for every child's life.

That being said, I guess I don't really care if its legal or not, if you want an abortion you will find a way legal or not. I am pro-life all the way, but legal or not there is no way of preventing it. Even if I was raped I would not get an abortion. Even if the birth of the baby had a 100% chance of killing me, I would not have an abortion. I couldn't have that on my concience.

What if the baby or mother has a disease that threatened both the lives of mother and child? Then I say it's ok. But casually having an abortion just because you don't want (or think you can't afford or support a child) because of a choice that you took, knowing what the consequences were, then, no, it's not ok.

I didn't know it was Ilegal. But yes it should be every woman choice as to what they do with their body, some people get pregnant from rape, so I don't think it's fair to say to her well too bad you have to carry that baby inside you and when it's born put it up for adoption. Why is it o.k to put a woman who is already traumatised over the rape to make her have a baby that she doesn't want. I say woman's choice and to heck with those who don't agree.

I don't even know why some people are saying it's MURDER It's not developed into a baby yet, it's just an embryo so it has no heartbeat, no brian, no nothing. I do however agree it shouldn't be aborted if it's 4moths onwards.

Well lets look at the facts it became legal for the reason that it was illegal and women would go to anybody to have one or even did them themselves with dangerous things such as coat hangers and that resulted in deaths! so that is the reason why it became legal.... even though i am totally against abortion i kind of understand why this has happened! because if for sure it became illegal again that same thing will happen all over again!

Absolutely.

To not have safe abortions legal and available on demand is to say that a woman is nothing more than a baby growing machine. Not giving women a choice is a way of demeaning women into a secondary, sub-human role.
