I would be HIGHLY offended.

It depended on the mint. If it looked like it had been in someones pocket NO. If it was bought for me at the store I would love it. Mints are usually offered after a meal so no I wouldn't be offended. If someone offered me a mint at the bar then yes I would be offended.

Depends on who it was and their attitude. If they were nasty, I'd breathe more in their face as recompense.
If they were nice about it, I'd apologize and try not to breathe on them, but I'd only take a mint from them if I knew them and knew if they washed their hands on a regular basis.

it depends on who the person is...my friends usually have them and it's polite to ask if those around you want some. I don't get offended because i'm used to them asking if i want whatever it is they're eating. Usually I have one or I just say "no thanks" if i don't

I would take it and say thanks. It's like gum, you don't get offended when people give you gum: my cousins love tic-tacs and it's not because they make their breath fresh, it's because they like how it tastes. I like the taste of mints!
