I was induced at 37 weeks due to low amniotic fluid. My induction did not progress well and so they did a c-section.
My son was perfectly fine and a healthy weight of 6 pounds 4 ounces. I personally did not like the c-section at all. The heavy anesthesia made me shaky and cold and it took 4 hours to wear off after my son was born. In that long 4 hours I was not able to see him or hold him because I was in "recovery."
Getting back to normal after the c-section was difficult, too, and took at least 6 weeks. It hurt to cough or sneeze or laugh and breastfeeding was uncomfortable if the baby was anywhere near my tender abdomen (where the incision was made).
The most important thing about your delivery is a healthy baby, but I have much preferred my vaginal deliveries and hope to never need surgery again.

I was induced at 36 weeks 5 days. I had preeclampsia and after two days of labor had an emergency c section. My son was ok. They did tell me the risks included: his sucking reflex not being fully developed and his lungs might not be either, causing him to be on a little oxygen. I think it was true about the sucking reflex because he had problems with that for awhile. He scored 8's and 9's on the APGAR, so he was good that way. He weighed 6 lb 8 oz so he was a good weight as well. I on the other hand, due to the preeclampsia had to be on magnesium sulfate during labor and for 24 hours after. It is a med that prevents you from having a seizure because of your blood pressure. It was like being on acid. NASTY. After that med was taken off, I felt pretty good. Sore, I had to hold a pillow over my stomach when I would stand up, but I was pretty good within a few days. Really only needed ibuprofen and the pain pills just if I overdid it during the day. Just accept all the help people offer you!

nicely I gave beginning to my son Nigel who's now a 12 months previous, at 38 wks 4 days. He became a extensive 8lbs. 10oz. So it would have certainly brought about her recent being pregnant to be a low beginning weight. there are particular ingredients that as turning out to be to be mothers we are counseled to consume because of the fact, those are ingredients that the unborn toddler needs to thrive. So in the experience that your pal became no longer eating top or in any respect then she is unquestionably the reason for her new child's low beginning weight. it form of feels regrettably that your pal became extra keen approximately her arrogance on the same time as pregnant extremely than the outcomes it would have on her unborn new child. i became very unwell for the time of my being pregnant with nausea. i could no longer extremely consume too plenty interior the initiating yet as quickly as i spotted i became hungry I ate to make up for lost time. With did effect in me being 247 on the tip of my being pregnant. Granted I complained in the previous each and every thing yet my son became healthful and that i impressive weight. I lost the load from his beginning and nevertheless proceed to drop pounds. those are the highs and lows of being pregnant. you may evaluate getting your pal some therapy or you may desire to in basic terms be there your self, for an unjudgemental ear. although i will declare this if it does ensue the subsequent time, I pray it would not the subsequent time she does certainly replace into pregnant. She could evaluate each and every difficulty featuring being pregnant and that features a healthful weight benefit so as that her new child could be healthful and powerful adequate to stay to tell the story exterior of the womb.
