Agreed. I too am pro-choice for people to decide whether or not to get pregnant. Once that occurs, they are obligated to protect the new life from it's very beginning.

Other than sexual assault and probable death of the mother, people who go out of their way to put themselves in a position to become pregnant, should not have the power to destroy someone out of convenience.

I don't think you can be pro choice and be staunchly against abortion, But if you are like me and against abortion but OK with it in some case's like when having a child would endanger the mothers life, or like when someone gets raped, or if a small child get pregnant which goes back to the life or death thing, I am against women just being irresponsible and dealing with that by getting abortions.

Pro-choice means you support a woman's right to decide when and if she becomes a mother. Pro-choice means that you support a woman's right to end an unwanted pregnancy. Pro-choice means you believe sexually active couples should have access to contraceptives to reduce the likelihood of unwanted pregnancy.

"Pro-life" means one believes a woman should not be able to have an abortion. Many folks who call themselves pro-life seem not to care about what happens after the child is born. Many folks who call themselves pro-life also oppose contraception. They seem to value the embryo/fetus over the pregnant woman and even over the resultant child.

However, outlawing abortion certainly won't end the practice. Women who can afford it will go to where it's legal (even if it means going out of the country), and women who cannot will go to a back alley and risk all sorts of complications. Abortion in the U.S. did not magically begin in January of 1973, by the way. And there were states that did have legal abortion before the Supreme Court decision.

You can personally be against abortion--you would never have one--but support another woman's decision to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. But that's the only way you can possibly be considered pro-choice.

If you're against abortion that's the same as being pro-life. If you're pro-choice you don't care if people have abortions. I guess you could be pro choice but hope that people wouldn't get an abortion if they didn't have to.

You can be pro choice and personally against abortion. All you would have to do is recognize that abortion is a choice you yourself would not make but that you realize that it will never stop and should be kept safe and legal and is a personal choice.

I think you're pro choice if you think that a woman should be allowed to abort an unwanted child and if you consider that child a "mass of tissue" instead of the real human being it already is. If you are against abortions, then you are pro life.

And yeah, I'm pro life, even though I know the general population ridicules me for it. I think it's wrong to put the preferences of a mother who made a mistake over the right to live an unborn child has. The child did nothing wrong and feels pain in the womb.

Urgh, I can go on, but I won't since you didn't ask that. Hope I answered your question anyway.

Haha. If you DON'T think women should be able to have an abortion you are pro-life. Yuck.

You are only pro-choice if you believe that it is a woman's right to choose whether or not to have a baby.

No. Pro-choice is the stance of abortionists and people that support abortion. Pro-life is anti-aortion, the mantle I proudly wear. I am a man, but definately think the baby is a seperate human, not just 'an extension of the mother'.

I think the tolerance of abortion is the beginning of the downfall of our society. Sex is a responsibility, not a right. You find people who are sexually promiscuous to be impulsive and generally lack self worth.

I am against abortion. I think it is taking of a life, whether it is 1 day into the pregnancy or 6 months. I do however think there are some rare circumstances where it must be legal.
