Try living in a communist country, then you can talk about "crappy" government.

Only in the Neocon fantasy world can that many Americans be wrong.
They try to blame the so-called Liberal Media, and Left Wing Conspiracies for George W. Bush's low approval rating.
The Neocons never take into consideration that George W. Bush bares responsibility for his own actions.

I agree with you, I just have to point out that with politics, the opposite of wrong isn't always right. Sometimes when we swing in an opposite direction from the last presidency or last congress, we hit "wrong" again, just a different flavor. But I DO agree that if 75% of the people don't like something, then the majority--which democracy is centered around--isn't being served.

Can't trust a poll number. Most polls can make anything they want sound like its the answer.
Ask yourself why so many say that Bush has a 30% approval rating so 70% hate him...
Is disaproval the same as hate?
I have been asked questions where I had to refuse to answer them because they had no qualifier.
I do not approve of everything Bush has done, I don't approve of everything i have done. We all make mistakes.

Actually, 61% would be more accurate. I'm not a big fan of Bush, but then, he also had one of the highest approval ratings in the 90s, compared to the upper 30s now. I'd question the validity of either.

I just saw a documentary on Harry S. Truman and the similarities between he and Bush (as far as reputation go) are absolutely astounding! He left office with around a 20% approval rating and today he is regarded as one of the great presidents. Time always needs to pass before you can truly see the effect one's presidency really had on the country.

Bush, and the Congress, are both out somewhere in their own La-La Land and completely out of touch with the needs and wants of most Americans. If you cut the pay of Congress down to something like $40,000 a year they could relate much better. Someone making $150,000 a year simply does not have the same concerns and fears as someone making $25,000. This is the main reason why they are so out of touch and why their approval rating is so low.
Bush's problem is a little different in that he hears Voices in his Head and believes that God told him to invade Iraq, so his outoftouchedness is rooted in some deep-seated mental imbalance.
The media is just as wacked skewing the news to fit the agenda of the moguls who run it.

What does "wrong" prove? Going by this, 85-88% of Americans diaprove of congress.
So, what's your point?
He's not running for office again, he just has to keep doing the job he's doing, and that is;
To protect and defend the Constitution of the US.
I'd say he's doing a pretty good job.

Absolutely. There are many cases throughout history where the majority was wrong. Consider the issues of slavery, women's sufferage, or nazi germany. Popularity doesn't have anything to do with whether or not someone is right or wrong.

If 75% of Americans think that Sweden is in Africa, does this mean that Sweden is in Africa? If so, we'd better redraw our maps!
Of course 75% of the public can be wrong.

I hear the statistics. I doubt they're accurate. Because, they've never polled me, or anyone I've ever known. So, who are they asking? And, why do those people's opinions count more than yours, or mine?
I say ignore the media-reported statistics, and let the voting booth speak for the American people!
