It would be too complicated to figure out the adjusted ERA's, if you erase the records, then what happens if pitchers were taking steroids, do u add the hits the players they got out, then you have to figure out if the hits would change the outcome of the games, it would be a mess.
They should do four things:
1) Put an asterisk next to each player's names & stats, that took steroids.
2) Have the original record stand, as the record to beat. Example Hank Aaron's record will still be the all time HR record of 755, but with an asterisk that the record was broken by Bonds using steroids or whatever record was broken by whomever.
3) Ban them for life from entering the HOF.
4) They forfeit the remainder of whatever their current contract is, and ban them from ever playing in MLB again.

Nothing will be erased when the Mitchell report is released. It will take MLB some time, maybe years, to conduct their own investigation based on information in the report. MLB also has the players union to contend with as well.

No. You can't erase records just like that.
All this means is that this era will always be remembered as the steroid era and all of these players who took/are still taking roids have ruined the reputation of the game for the few that still play clean.
But no, they will never erase records, not even Bonds'.

How do you know that Bonds is on it? Because of the indictment? Last time I checked he never tested positive on the baseball side of testing. I can gurantee you this the Federal Prosecutor trying Bonds will never get a conviction because Bonds's attorney is going to have a field day with them. None of the records are going to be erased, why would they? Because no matter what pitchers and batters would be on the list so how is it really tainted if both are on them? Life goes on no records are going to be erased. Bonds will never spend a day in jail. The prosecutor already proved he doesn't have anything by letting everyone know of the indictment except Bonds and his Lawyers. He wants the public to be brain washed into thinking that Bonds is guilty. But he's going too have a hard time proving Bonds perjured himself!

Thing is he didn't name names.. Beltre, Vuntura, etc. I read what Beltre and Edwin Jackson had to say and it seems like Gange is nuts haha. 80% highly doubt it, Beltre is has no intrest in reading the books because it's in French. The only way to know, is of Gange comes out and names names, simple. Otherwise, this is just what he thinks. Gange had a great career but he did do HGH, there is more going to come out from this story. We just have to look at the roster from then and see.. Highly doubt Beltre or Vuntura, Jackson took HGH PED..

No - Baseball does not erase records for any records. The Black Sox purposely threw a World Series and the win still went to the Reds. There is no reason to change the records.
