I am having problems looking up civil law cases involving both breach of contract and liability in tort.

Are there any case studies which involve both these?

Yes, it does happen, but it is VERY rare because the causes of action and the remedies available are so different. A possible example is a breach of contract action with a physician (violating privacy agreements) and an action for either Slander or Libel being pursued at the same time. There are no actual "case studies", but there are thousands of cases which involve both a contract and a tort cause of action.
