My geometry teacher gave us an assignment telling us to construct a five-pointed star with our compasses. He did not give directions and I don't know how you can invent your own method. If anyone can give instructions, or send a website with diagrams, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

i know how to draw a star. this is drawn with a compass, not a pencil.

draw a triangle but don't connect the bottom, [starting from the left side] then go diagonally up from the right to the left, then cross straight over to the opposite side, and then back down diagonally to the left and then you will have a 5 sided star.
