For years Manning has put up better regular season stats than Brady but Brady never had a receiver as talented as Harrison or Wayne. This year Brady gets himself a Colts-caliber receiving corps and he's utterly unbelievable, better than Manning has ever been. Then Manning loses his top receiver and has completed only 55% of his passes in his last 4 games. I've always held that Brady was the better quarterback as evident by his post season success but this belief was usually met with a lot of opposition. Does this year not prove Brady the better quarterback?

i think so for basically the reasons you stated. the thing that separated manning from brady are his numbers in the regular season and this year we see brady with weapons and he is better

This is laughable. Clearly you don't know a damn thing about pro football. I'm not even a Manning fan. This guy is s great QB. He reads defenses like nobody else in the league. He checks-off perfect. Watch him audible-that guy is a genius. His recognition skills are second to none. His release is very quick. He has a fast eye and fast arm. Tom Brady is a product of players around him. Moss for one. What-all of a sudden Brady is a 45 TD a year QB? Come on. And to that foolish little girl who called Peyton Manning old? What is that all about kiddo? Of course he is old to a 12 year old. Manning has no help around him. Period. Brady has a solid unit on offense that he benefits from. And to the other poster-I'll take Brett Favre in the huddle as my teammate over Tom Brady anyday of the week. Favre is a warrior...and no QB in the league has proven to be tougher. Mentally or physically.

I think if you took away everything both Manning and Brady have accomplished on the football field, took their names off their jerseys, and put masks over their faces, and had them compete in a scouting combine against one another skill for skill... Manning would come out on top easily.

Now does that make him a better QB in the NFL? I don't think so... but to say Brady is better based on this season alone isn't any more accurate than those who say Manning is better because of his career numbers.

Mind you, I'm a huge Brady and Patriot fan (since the Grogan days)...

He's the better QB THIS YEAR. Manning doesn't have Marvin Harrison, Dallas Clark, or Anthony Gonzalez this year, but Brady has Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, and Wes Welker to make him look good, like Tony Romo has Terrrell Owens. If you want to hand out "best QB" awards, give it to Brett Favre, who has a bunch of no-names, and he's still winning.

Who cares? I'm sick of this talk. Brady this. Manning that. They are both good. Get over it. We are all lucky to live during a time when three of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game are all playing at the same time. Enjoy it.

Personally I believe that you can never rate a QB on who's better unless they had all of the same teammates. Put Manning under Billichek and with Randy Moss give him the Pat's defense and see what kind of numbers he puts up. Same with Brady....just switch QB's and make sure they are playing against the same team.

Brady even admitted earlier this year that he throws it in Moss's direction and Moss reels it in. Moss is the real powerhouse behind the Patriots. If Manning had Moss, the Colts would be 10-0

This year will put Brady shoulder to shoulder with Montana. Even Favre won't be considered in that same light. Brady will be one of the elite greats.

Favre is the better QB.

I would want Manning to throw me the ball with time ticking down late in the 4th 3rd and 10 being down by 5. He is a manager and play maker. Brady takes orders from Belichick then executes the a ball.

Brady might have more Super Bowls but Manning has one more recent.
