Les Miles played under BO at UM from 74-76 as a defensive player and played in the uM oSU game during the Bo Vs Woody heyday.
He was an assitant at um for almost 10 years and he met his wife Kathy there who was an assistant women's basketball coach.
Kathy miles's family lives in ann arbor area. Their first born was born at Um medical center
Les Miles praises Bo all the time.
And about kathy Miles, what women want, women usually get, just ask Rick Pitino's wife about why they came to louisville(family ties)
Anyway, i think it is a done deal especially with a family member telling me that Kathy Miles was house hunting in ann arbor last week and buying furniture there as well.
Any questions?
it is a done deal, Say good bye LSU fan, We at UM need him to come home badly to save our program.

He's a good coach but if he does go there he'll sure have his work cut out for him. Les inherited great players at LSU. I'm not seeing that much talent at Michigan. It will take some time.

miles played for Bo. his wife is from Ann Arbor.
he would not commit to being at LSU next year when asked last week.
Michigan could do a lot worse, he is a "Michigan guy".
he is a pretty good coach but has not proved he can recruit he has done well with others talent.

He is a mediocre coach in a great situation at LSU. Many coaches could win with LSU's talent. He may very well be Michigan's coach next year and if so Michigan will continue to be a top team in a weak conference.

he is the coach for LSU. He graduated from Michigan, played at Michigan , was an assistant coach (under Bo Schembechler i think), did a nice job coaching oklahoma state, and well there is no need to say how he did at LSU because the record speaks for itself.

LSU has a clause in Les Miles contract... that states if he quits LSU and goes to Michigan, he must pay LSU $1.25 Million! That might deter him, but Michigan would probably pay it, if they want him.

I love the guy because he has LSU in a situation to win the NC, but I dont like the way he manages the end of the game sometimes, but it usually works.
