Hold the reset on the back of the router so it goes to defualt. Then open your browser and enter "http://192.168.1.1/" this will bring you to your user/pass which is admin/admin. And your in.

If you do not know your username or password, you will have to manually reset the router. There is a pinhole switch on the back. Hold it down, typically for like 10 seconds. You will have to set up your router again from scratch, but it's better than not being able to access your router.

Tip: I store important info like that in text files stored in an ENCRYPTED disk image.

Most routers have a reset button on the rear. You often have to push it with something such as a straightened paper clip. It will set the router back to factory defaults, including the user name and password, which I believe will be login name admin and no password for this router. Be sure to reset the password or you'll be wind open to every little creep in the neighborhood!

look at the back of the router. There is a small reset button that you can press with a paperclip or a pencil. Hold it for 30 seconds. This will make it the default settings.

yes, if you reset your router to factory default you'll need to re-set up your WEP, but it's worth it. write it down and tape it to the bottom of your router.

follow the instructions for resetting the router, and then rebuild it with the admin password that you want and reset the wireless key that you are using. takes all of 5 minutes.

my suggestion is for you when you setup your wrt54g, go to the admin area and save the configuration file after you are all done setting up the router. in this case if you have to reset in the future you will have to restore the file and all your configuration will be set, so you dont have to redo them individually.

also unplug the power for 20 seconds and plug it back in (on the back of the router.)
