Or are you one of the lucky ones who got invited to Thanksgiving dinner?

I'm stuffing my own bird, but no company.

Did you hear about the turkey baby? A mother knew her daughter was gullible, but she didn't know how gullible until her daughter was cooking the Thanksgiving feast for the first time. The mother sent her to the store for something that had been forgotten right after the turkey went into the oven.

She took the turkey out of the oven, unstuffed it, pulled out a Cornish game hen from her grocery sack, stuffed the game hen and put it INSIDE THE TURKEY. Then she restuffed the turkey and put it in the oven.

Later when her daughter was removing the stuffing, she found the game hen. The mother exclaimed "Susan, you cooked a pregnant bird!"

Her daugher was grief-stricken. Took them more than an hour to convince her that turkeys laid eggs.

I wish I were invited somewhere else. My in-laws are coming to our house for Thanksgiving. My husband will take care of cooking the turkey, but I will make the stuffing the night before, and I will make all the side dishes.

We are some of the lucky ones who have been invited out for dinner and volunteered to do our share with the Antipasto.Truthfully? It is also great when you have the remaining carcass to make hot turkey sandwiches, plain turkey sandwich w/cranberry sauce or just picking turkey. And don't forget !!Make a lot of stuffing.

provide up! do not bake bread for stuffing! Stuffing is a dish created to apply previous, leftover stale bread. It would not artwork with clean bread. the attempt and time to make clean bread for stuffing is merely too time ingesting, pointless and not worth of getting used for stuffing.actual, the main suitable stuffing i've got ever had has been made with a field of range-maximum appropriate form combination, made with chicken broth as a replace of water. and including sauteed celery, onions, and sausage. OR...purchase previous bread and cube it. merely PLEASE do not spend the time making bread for this. lower back, it rather is a recipe made for previous leftover stuff! Use your bread device for an awsome bread that is enjoyed as bread!
