When I was in 6th grade I did this really cool science experiment where I heated water using solar electric model. I built a box with my dad that had some kind of solar panels on it, then we sat a heat lamp on top of it and it boiled the water. We used a book titled "Simple Science Experiments", it did take some time so if the science fair is this week ... look for something easier!

i did this and won an award:
get radish seeds and plant 30 seeds in 3 differnt pots (each pot gets ten)
put one pot in a room that has a type of music playing (classical, rock, ect.) for a certain amt. of time (1 hour a day, 1 hour a week, 24 hrs a week, u get the idea)
do the same for one of the other ones, and the last one can sit anywhere in your house, its a control
record the height of each plant after 2 or 3 weeks (depends on how much time they listened to music)
then make a conclusion based on the results
btw, you need to have a question to answer such as "do plants grow faster with certain types of music?" or "Does a plant played classical music grow faster than a normal plant?"
basically if you do this, it should be pretty easy. just remember to water them the same amt. of water and use the same amt. of dirt in each pot
