Bogart was amazing but I think someone else is even better.

Sir Anthony Hopkins has played an extremely wide range of roles over the course of his career, and all of them are completely believable. Isn't that the sign of a truly great actor?

Bogart was a very good actor, but I'd have picked Laurence Olivier. Perhaps Charles Laughton second.

I agree with the person who mentioned Anthony Hopkins -- he's excellent. Probably the best actor we have now, although Philip Seymour Hoffman is right up there too.

There are other actors with greater range, but in the right role, Bogart was definitely the greatest. He was so fully in the story that he brought you in with him.

He was great. Not a great-looking guy, but his acting made his characters memorable.

I don't think he was all that, but his pretend accent was nice it made it believable.
