Of course. Anyone who watches the games should see this is true. The Packers have a better defense than the only other elite NFC team, the Cowboys. When the two meet, I expect that Favre will exploit the Dallas secondary. They have ok corners, but problems at safety. Ryan Grant will run, but he did have a "mild ankle sprain" during the game against the Panthers. So his health is something to watch. Still, Brett Favre has too many weapons on offense.
Dallas has weapons too. But the Green Bay defense is good enough to put pressure without blitzing. Their corners may be the best in the NFL. The GB DL is one of the best in the NFL. The Packers have three good safeties. Not to mention a very good group of LBs. Yes, Dallas has a good defense and all this too, but not nearly as good as the Packers in any one area.
The Packers can go into Dallas and win. If they do, then the Packers will probably gain home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I do not believe that the Cowboys can go into Lambeau in January and win.
So the Packers are the #1 team in the NFC without a doubt. I'll go one further and say that the Packers can match the Patriots in the superbowl, assuming that New England and Green Bay make it there. Green Bay is the only NFC team that can challenge the Pats. This is because of defense. The Packers have the best of the NFC.

right now you have two number one teams in the nfc AS IN OVERALL RECORD but in reality the cowboys is ahead of the packers for the simple fact packers lost to a division team and cowboys didnt so win wise they are num one this is the fact divison record determines the better record when you have the same overall record this is coming from a packer fan ......GO PACK GO its the facts but its who you lose in your division determines the tied overall record

Doesn't matter who's the top dog in the NFC. They will not stand a chance in the Superbowl. The AFC is defiantly more dominate. I would love to see Green Bay be in the AFC North, South or any AFC division.

Should be a GREAT GAME. It's obvious that THE PACK CAN WIN THIS GAME IN DALLAS. If it were in GREEN BAY, this would NOT EVEN BE OPEN FOR DISCUSSION!
