should barry have waited to break the record? the giants and mlb's commisioner made their money from barry, let him go and now he is being indicted? i can not stand barry bonds for how he digraced the sport of baseball. he lied to everybody about his knowledge of the steriods he was taking. we all knew he was lying, but the giants organization and mlb's commisioner did not care as long as he was making them money.

I think it's going to be interesting to see how Bud Selig (whom I consider the worst commissioner baseball has EVER suffered through) deals with this, especially page nine of the indictment that says Bonds had a positive urine test, yet was NOT suspended for it. I think Selig's initial statement that he's going to "wait and see" how the legal system handles this is code for "boy I hope this is still going on when I resign as commissioner so I won't have to deal with it."

I cannot help but liken this situation to Pete Rose and his, "I didn't bet on baseball, I didn't bet on baseball, I didn't bet on baseball, I didn't bet on baseball, okay, I bet on baseball."

Why is it that people thrive upon the misfortune of others? All of you can't handle the fact that Barry Bonds is a great baseball player. Where do you draw the line for performance enhancing anyway? Have you ever had a cup of coffee to give you a boost? Have you ever had one of the many over caffeinated energy drinks? Have you ever had a beer to unwind after work? Viagra (Hello!!!)? Do I really need to say more? The use of these things are and always have been involved in sports as well as everyones life. Barry Bonds has in no way disgraced baseball. It's the Media and the people that have nothing better to do, so they have to pick apart others. Really people, is your life that pathetic? Even if Barry did take steriods, he is up against pitchers that are taking them as well. I for one am very proud that I have had the oppurtunity to watch Barry Bonds play. Years from now I will tell my grandchildren with pride about the wonders of watching him play. I know that many of you will change your tune and do the same whan you grandchildren ask you with excitement about Barry Bonds. Baseball is and will always be a great sport and a great form of entertainment, so just enjoy the game and quit harping on the negitives.

Barry was and always will be entirely about himself. He will never, ever admit to wrongdoing and is a cancer on this game. I am so sad that he was the one to break the record. However, I think both the commissioners office and the Giants were content to make the money and cut him loose. You know these last ten years will get their own chapter in Ken Burns next big book of baseball history. And will be one of the saddest ever written.

No they shouldn't positioned an astersik next to his call. no longer something could be taken away the two. he's a great participant and not stupid. there continues to be no evidence that he used steroids. Its in basic terms the media blowing issues up like they constantly do. The media is stupid no longer Barry. till he's shown to blame, his stats could nevertheless stand and all of us could supply the guy a smash jesus, not one of the different gamers who have been stumbled directly to blame of steroids are dealt with like Barry.

Yep, Pete Rose did the same thing. Roses'
thing was gambling on baseball and HE went
to jail and Mr Bonds just might do the same
and lose all his records.
