You are joking, right? Of course not. I know Bush can't even spell half of the words he says. All of them have writers; makes you wonder why the writers don't run for office, doesn't it?
And lobbyists? Don't get me started. Where did we all go wrong, and not protest this nonsense. Why do we let these lobbyists tell congress what we want? At what point did I and others stop talking and complaining and telling Congress what we want? We left the door open for lobbyists and they came in. And we can't close the door, because they make too much and congress depends on them to be telling them how to vote. sad for America and sad for democracy.

I think Americans are a little more savvy than you are giving them credit for.. well the ones that vote anyway. The largest voter turnout in the country is in senior citizens, and these people are pretty good at seeing through the bull... even though some are just set in their ways and could care less about a politician. If you said to any American that "politicians are honest, truthful, and always have the people's interest at heart," they'll probably knock you upside the head to try to get some sense into ya!

Unless I have some experience with something--enough to actually have an opinion, I don't believe or disbelieve. I do know that if I don't know enough about a subject, I reserve judgment for the experts.

It depends on what it is and who is doing it. I take it all with a grain of salt.
