Spending our lives together until we were both old, wrinkled, and holding hands in our rocking chairs... but, hopefully, we will have the days and years together until then..

Today on the plane back from where we were I gave her a book of adventures I know she would love (she thought it was really cool, I could tell, it had them all listed and told what gear you needed, the danger level, etc). No way we will ever be able to do them all (time, not money). So no regrets. When we left the airport I said I was not sad our trip was over because I know we will be going on adventures again (we were in Central America). I will probably have a fatal heart attack long before her, and I will regret that she might not find someone else who would do some of the absolutely nutty, scarey things she wants to do. As to when we will get around to some of them, soon, real soon. She likes that I actually do the ideas I come up with and I like that she likes my ideas (I am scared to do some of the things she likes to do, but I still make them happen and go along for the ride, usually sick to my stomach and scared out of my wits, but it is lots of fun).

I would regret not spending more time with him. My "flee or fight" instict is to always flee. When I was mad, I would get out of bed and sleep on the couch. If he put his daughter before me, I wouldn't be home waiting for him to get home. I would make him wait for a few hours before I would show up. Sometimes when I am mad, I won't answer the phone. These are all things that I regret because they have pushed him away. I think I will stop doing these things today.
