Manganese is used in steel aloys, tools, etc, and in carbon-zinc batteries it also sometimes turns up in tap water from wells.
Organic bromine compounds are used as fire retardants in plastics It also turns up in some pharmicutical compounds.
Berylium is not commomly used in consumer products because of toxicity but found in the alloy berylium copper used for applications where a springy, but high electrical conductivity metal is needed, as the contacts that cartridge fuses snap into. Occassionally berylium oxide is used for the insulating material between semiconductor devices and the heat sink because it has the unusual properties of low electrical conductivity but high thermal conductivity. also it is found in the semiprecious stone beryl.

bromine is used like chlorine in a swimming pool but in hot tubs because it desn't break down as fast under the high heat. Manganese can be found in some household medicines and household batteries. Beryllium is a very light metal and is combined with other soft metals to make springs in heavy machinery and can also be found in the stones aquamarine and emerald.
