What are your kids names and ages?

I do not have kids yet but I hope to have 4 one day. My favorite names are Arianna, Jaycee, Aidan and Jake.

When we found out we were expecting our now three - year - old son, here are some names I liked:
1. Cameron
2. Noah
3. Jacob
4. Orion (yes, as in the hunter from Greek mythology)
5. Corrigan
6. Devin

So some of mine were original, but nothing too over the top. After all, a poor, innocent child had to live with the name for the rest of his life. It drives me insane when parents name their kid the most ridiculous thing they can think of, just to try to be "unique." Speaking of which, let's move on to my husband's list:
1. Kentucky (neither of us are from Kentucky; I'm from Boston and Hubby was born and raised in Alabama)
2. Galaxy (no, my husband wasn't drinking at the time, nor was he on any medication)
3. Fender (I know he's an amateur musician, but Fender? Come on...I can think of a few nasty nicknames right off the bat)
4. Donovan (not too bad, if he didn't let it be known that our son was to be named after a gigantic pro football player)
5. Luke Skywalker. I'm dead serious about this one. It's one thing to be a Star Wars geek; it's another to subject your child to a lifetime of humiliation and ridicule because of your interest. This is also how he arrived at his favorite girl name - Leia.
6. Jacob - the one name we agreed on. But then I found out it was in honor of one of his childhood friends, who grew up to make some pretty bad choices. Our son was also going to have my husband's first name, Daniel, as his middle name. So he would be JD (as in juvenile delinquent), named after someone who started out as a sweet young man and later ended up in prison. Um, no thanks.
In the end, I suggested we name our son after my husband - Daniel Jr. Believe it or not, his name is a more unique one now. With every other little boy his age named Brayden/Jayden/Aiden, Noah, Jacob, Cameron, Tyler or some ridiculous made - up name, we have so far never met another Daniel. My son also goes by his full name of Daniel, and not Dan or Danny. We get compliments on it all the time, and it's a very versatile name. So maybe we didn't give him a "unique" or made - up name, but we also know our little Daniel has a better chance at getting accepted to medical school than little Starkist Moonbeam or Chastity Cadillac.
